They do have a slight rubbery smell out of the box, but it fades after a few days. Cleaning them is straightforward, and they hold up well to daily use. The deep grooves are excellent for trapping dirt and liquids, and they clean up easily. My only issue was with the packaging. It could have been more robust to prevent minor bends.
