Through heavy snows, salt on the roads, and occasional gravel chip damage from driving, they maintain their nice appearance. This is handy whether just using them for stepping or when cleaning or working on the truck. The wider footprint makes it so much safer than the previous truck steps. Installation was straightforward following the directions.
